# A course, an audit or implementation support?

Three different needs. Three different routes.

## Develop your own knowledge

An individual training course builds understanding and prepares you for an examination. A credential depends on the certification body’s requirements and decision; buying training does not certify your organisation.

## Build the management system

Implementation support concerns your organisation’s scope, risks, responsibilities, controls and operating evidence. Agree deliverables and exclusions with the consultancy before starting.

## Assess the evidence

An internal audit evaluates the system against defined criteria using sampled evidence. It is distinct from implementation and from the independent certification-body assessment.
