The requirement in context

Define the requirement before selecting the work.

Engineers discussing a design at a whiteboard.
Bring the decision, its uncertainty and its owner into the same conversation.

ISO 31000 provides risk-management guidance. A practical review asks how the method supports business decisions, how criteria are used and whether owners act on the results.

A practical next step.

Review how risk decisions connect to objectives, ownership and action—not only how complete the risk register looks.

  • Agreed review boundary and objectives
  • Review of risk criteria, assessment and ownership
  • Treatment and escalation observations
  • Practical recommendations and follow-up priorities

How the work moves forward

From the requirement to a usable result.

Responsibilities and access are agreed before the engagement. Work stays connected to the outcome—not the number of documents produced.

  1. Understand the requirement

Define the product, service, process and relevant external requirement.

  2. Build the record

Assign responsibilities and connect decisions to operating evidence.

  3. Review and improve

Check what is working, address gaps and agree the next review.

Before you commission the work

Your questions.
Clear answers.

Which decision will this risk register help you make?

ISO 31000 provides risk-management guidance. A practical review asks how the method supports business decisions, how criteria are used and whether owners act on the results.

What is included in the engagement?

Agreed review boundary and objectives; Review of risk criteria, assessment and ownership; Treatment and escalation observations; Practical recommendations and follow-up priorities. The proposal defines the exact outputs and acceptance criteria.

What is not automatically included?

ISO 31000 is guidance, not an organisational certification standard. This review does not issue an ISO 31000 certificate or replace specialist risk advice.

What does the service cost?

UK service fees are quoted for the agreed scope. We confirm a quote after reviewing the agreed boundary, starting position, dependencies and required deliverables.

How should we share evidence?

Agree secure access, minimisation and retention before work starts. Describe the requirement in the enquiry; do not send passwords or sensitive records through the form.

What makes a risk register useful to a board or service owner?

Each record should connect uncertainty to an objective and decision. State assumptions, existing controls, treatment choices, ownership and review triggers. A numerical score without rationale can hide uncertainty rather than resolve it.

Can you review our approach without replacing our tools?

Yes, within the agreed scope. We can examine how your existing tools support decisions, ownership and follow-up. A new platform is not automatically required, and the review does not issue ISO 31000 organisational certification.

What should we prepare for a scoping conversation?

Describe the organisation, product or service, customer requirement, systems and preferred timing. Do not send passwords or confidential records through the enquiry form. We agree secure evidence handling separately.
